Of the 3 roles or characters which do you most identify with?

Jesus - his practice of Solitude with the Father
Disciples – eager but sometimes misguided or confused
Crowds – more enamored with the spectacle than Jesus

The idea of solitude can be a difficult thing to practice in our fast-paced culture.
Do you find it difficult?
Is
it appealing to you?

What have you experienced in times of solitude? (or would hope too)

Hearing from God, being led by him is often considered difficult. Have you found it that way?
Why or why not?

What are some things you might be able to do to grow in this practice?

Knowing that God wants to lead you in your life which statement do you most identify or struggle with?

  • You don’t need to do anything extraordinary, let the opportunities present themselves. Let God lead, don’t force things. Be prayerfully alert as you go about your days.
  • Don’t know how to do your vocation for God’s glory. Ask him what that means - and spend some time listening.  (more than minutes, this could take days or weeks etc.)
  • Feeling alone and overwhelmed - find a space and seek God. Worship him, declare your trust, surrender to his leading, receive his grace and allow his restorative presence to work in your soul.
