As we enjoy the warmth and comfort of our homes, we are aware that not everyone has that same privilege. Many people currently live on the street or in make-shift shelters, unprotected from the cold and wet of the coming winter.
As our fall Adopt Your Block initiative, we ask all SBC'ers to canvas their neighbourhoods, friends, family, and community groups to gather warm clothing such as jackets, footwear, hats, and new socks. We will present this clothing to the outreach organizations The Mustard Seed and Our Place.
Cards with detailed information will be made available to hand out to their neighbours two weeks prior to the gathering date of November 3rd. We ask that all items be brought to the church on Sunday, Novemebr 4th.
