How has your hope been CHALLENGED this week?  How has your hope been been STRENGTHENED this week?

 

 

How have you experienced the Bible empowering your faith, strengthening your hope or deepening your love? 

 

 

Read Mark 6:45-56.  Common scholarship believes that Peter is the source of Mark’s gospel.  Why do you think this account of Jesus walking on water doesn’t include Peter also walking on water? What is Jesus revealing about Himself in this passage? Why is it significant that He prays? Why are words “pass by” important?

 

 

The disciples respond to God’s glory with fear, and the hardness of hearts. Why do you think that’s the case?  What does that tell us about the fragility of faith that is dependent upon proof?

 

 

How have you seen your faith strengthened lately?  How does the gospel message deepen your trust in Christ in a daily and ongoing way?

 

 

Spend some time enjoy the presence of God.  Read over some of your favourite scripture promises.  Rest in the truth and grace of Jesus’ presence, mediation and power that has been revealed to you.
