What are you coming to Jesus for?

Explain your responses to these 4 statements:

I come to Jesus for who He is!

I come to Jesus for what he’s done!

I come to Jesus for what I see him doing!

I come to Jesus for what he’s going to do!

Have you reduced Jesus to a slogan, statement, a song...?

Or can he really be the Son of the Living God in your life?  Read Acts 4:13

How does his presence change you?

How do you see his promises as hopeful?

How do you experience his transformative power in your life?

Are you hearing his call to be with him, and then be sent by him?

These two always work in tandem. It is a reflective of the life of Jesus. As we become more like him we do the things he did, we live in the manner that he did – his priorities become our priorities etc.

Being with Jesus will enable us to walk in his ways – do what he did, go where he went, live and love as he did.

What are ways you have found helpful for spending time with Jesus?

In what ways have you found this difficult?

The idea of being sent to love the world is a ___________ thought.

Why? Describe your thought.
