Community Life

Groups

We at SBC want to get you connected at the level you choose to be connected at. People are authentically doing life together in groups all over the city. Groups are where people learn together, pray together and Live 6:8

Community Life Groups

Community life groups run between September and June. They allow people to experience care, community, growth, service, and accountability while deepening their personal relationship with Christ. Community life groups are where lives connect, learn, pray and live 6:8 together.

Connect Groups

These groups are for people to come together around a similar interest, hobby or stage of life. Some examples of these groups include:

Adult Hiking Group

Get to know others outside of church and discover some new trails while you enjoy the exercise and fresh outdoor air. One Saturday a month, this group meets at the location parking lot at 10a. Email Andrew Peebles to request their monthly hike emails: [email protected]

Anchor - Ladies Bible Study

Encouraging each other by studying the Word together. "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sancutary behind the curtain." Hebrews 6:19

Sign up online or contact the office at [email protected]

Start date: January 5, 2017, 9 - 11a at SBC Wilkinson Rd.

Cost: TBD (book fee due first class)

Connections: Ladies Night Out

Check out the SBC calendar on the app, website or the bulletin for more information on their monthly events.

Men's Breakfast

Join us each Monday at 7a at Spoon's Diner. There's great food, company and a rotating book discussion. For more information contact Andrew Peeples by email: [email protected] or text: 250.892.9883.

Rise and Shine

Motherhood brings a lot of opportunities for playdates and scheduled interactions with other moms, but very few oppourtunities for deep relationships or community. Rise and Shine is for any mom, whether from the church or not, who is looking for a place to connect and be encouraged through authentic community.

After enjoying coffee and refreshments while your children are being cared for, we hope you'll leave inspired to rise and shine instead of merely pushing through the chaos of the day.

Join us on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 9:30a - 11a at SBC (WRC). Please let us know if you can attend so we know numbers to provide appropriate childcare. You can email Sarah Doerksen at [email protected]

Serve Groups

One of the best ways to get know people is when you are serving alongside them being the hands and feet of Jesus. You can join on-site, serving groups such as our SBC Connect Team or 6:8 Café or serve off-site at places such as the Mustard Seed, Peers, Woodwyn Farms, Cobs Bread Ministry and the Rainbow Kitchen.

Participating in a small group already? Is facilitating your next step? Let us partner with you in making that next step. Email Don White, our Director of Ministires, if you would like more information. [email protected]

For more information on any of these groups email [email protected] or phone 250.744.2020
